RE·Center believes that young people have the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to identify inequities and transform their communities‮—‬they are waiting for the adults in their lives to activate them and listen.

Our programs with students encourage self-reflection, positive identity development, and empathy building. This work actively engages students in the development of a critical consciousness.

My students gained an experience that they will probably never forget. They were able to express their individuality and accept others’ individuality based on the activities your team facilitated. Morning meetings at singing rock were awesome–everyone was greeted with such enthusiasm and love. I think it really carried throughout the day. The equity theme was really important and applicable in school and of course in life. Trust [between the students and counselors] was built because of a genuinely caring and loving relationship with every single kid which, as a teacher, I really appreciated.”
